Cruz was diagnosed with a Complete AV Canal Defect in November of 2018 and one month later in December, we received a Down Syndrome diagnosis as well! In April of 2019, his heart was repaired by Dr. Worrall. The surgery was a perfect success with no complications. We follow up with his cardiologists once a year now and everything looks great. Cruz is a happy and healthy little boy who attends preschool and daycare. He loves snacks, playing outside, reading books, and playing with dinosaurs
